Add customers manually

In your Rotessa account, there are four ways to add customers:

Manually create customers in Rotessa

  1. Start on your Rotessa account’s customers page and select new

  2. Select new customer

  3. Select manually enter customer

  4. Now you will be asked if you have a Pre-authorized Debit (PAD) agreement with the customer that you are looking to add to your account.
    1. If you do not have a PAD agreement with the customer you are adding, select no
      1. If you selected no, select the method you wish to use to collect a PAD agreement from your customer and follow the prompts shown for the method you selected.

        1. Direct email: You can preview and edit the email before you send it to your customer. Changes made here are not permanent. For permanent changes, you can adjust your template on the authorization settings page.
        2. Link: Use this if you would like the authorization form link to be sent from your own email. This link can be customized to be more recognizable to your customers on the authorization settings page.
        3. Paper: This will send you to our online PAD form generator that allows you to create a customized PDF template of a PAD agreement. Once you have a signed PAD from your customer, you can create the customer and upload the agreement by selecting yes when asked if you already have a PAD.
    2. Once you get a PAD agreement or if you already have a PAD agreement with the customer you are adding, select yes
      1. Enter the customer's name, the customer type (either personal or business), and how you collected the customer's PAD agreement.
      2. Select next.
      3. Enter the customer's banking information and upload their PAD agreement.
      4. Select next.
      5. Enter the appropriate information under each field for the customer. This information is for your own records.
      6. Select create customer and the customer will now show on the customers page.
  5. Now your customers have been added to Rotessa. If you didn't enter any banking information or didn't specify an authorization type, the customer will show as having actions required. Once the customer has completed an authorization request, or you add in banking information, they will be ready for transactions.
