Duplicated integration customers


In Rotessa, there is no way to merge two customers into one customer. If you have duplicate customers where one is connected to QuickBooks Online or Xero and the other is not connected, you can connect the customer from QuickBooks Online or Xero to the pre-existing Rotessa customer.


  1. First step is you are going to want to archive the QuickBooks Online or Xero connected customer in Rotessa. This is so that you can connect the customer from QuickBooks Online or Xero to the existing customer in Rotessa.
  2. Next, find the customer in Rotessa you are looking to connect to QuickBooks Online or Xero and select the ellipses (three dots) and from there, select edit contact details to edit the customer.
  3. Copy and paste the customer's name from QuickBooks Online or Xero into the CUSTOM IDENTIFIER field in Rotessa. Make sure you select submit at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
  4. Now it is time to connect the customer. Go to the integrations page and select import customers.
  5. Search for the customer you are looking to connect from QuickBooks Online or Xero, you will see they will have a status of Match Found in Rotessa.
  6. Select the customer and then select Import Customers.

There you have it! Now, you should see the customer is connected to QuickBooks Online or Xero by the icon beside their name on the customers page!
