Get PAD agreements or authorizations
A PAD or authorization form is required before withdrawing money from a customer's bank account. Rotessa makes it easy to collect authorizations from your customers.
Authorization request email
You can send authorization request emails to a single customer or in bulk. Users on your Rotessa account will be notified when a customer completes the form. The customer receives an email outlining the terms and conditions.
To send to a single customer:
- Go to the Customers page of your Rotessa account.
- Select the ellipsis (⋯) to the right of the customer you want to send a request to.
- Tip: Use the Action Required filter at the top of the page to quickly find customers that need authorization.
- Select Email Authorization Request. A preview of the email will appear before sending.
- Edit the message as needed to personalize your instructions. Changes made here are not permanent — for permanent changes, adjust your template on the Authorizations page.
- Select Send Email
Once the customer completes the form, their bank information will be automatically updated in their profile and will no longer show Action Required.
Note: Authorization emails are sent from notifications@rotessa.com.
To send to multiple customers at once:
- Go to the Customers page of your Rotessa account.
- Select the customers you want to send a request to, or select all by checking the box at the top of the customer list.
- Tip: Use the Action Required filter to quickly find customers that need an authorization.
- Select Email Authorization Request. A preview of the email will appear before sending.
- Edit the message as needed. Changes made here are not permanent — for permanent changes, adjust your template on the Authorizations page.
- Select Send Email.
Once customers complete the form, their bank information will be automatically updated and they will no longer show Action Required.
Authorization request link
If you'd like to send the authorization form link from your own email or have it on your website, you can find the authorization request link on the Authorizations page of your Rotessa account. This link can be customized to be more recognizable to your customers.
Uploading authorizations
To collect an in-person authorization:
- Go to the Authorizations page of your Rotessa account and select Create PDF Authorization to generate and download an offline authorization form.
To upload a completed authorization to a customer's profile:
- Go to the Customers page of your Rotessa account.
- Select the ellipsis (⋯) beside the customer's name.
- Select Edit Bank Details.
- Set the authorization type to In Person if the customer signed in person, or Online if they signed electronically.
- Under Authorization Form, drag and drop or click to upload your authorization file.
