Get PAD agreements or authorizations

A PAD or authorization form is required before withdrawing money from the payor’s bank account. Rotessa makes it easy to get authorizations from your customers.

Authorization request email

You can send authorization request emails to single customers or in bulk. Users on your Rotessa account will be notified via email when your customers complete the authorization form. The customer receives an email with an outline of the terms and conditions.

Send to a single customer

  1. Start on your Rotessa account’s customers page.
  2. Select the ellipsis at the right side of the customer’s row to whom you want to send an authorization request. (Hint: You can easily find customers that require an authorization by selecting the action required filter at the top of the page.)
  3. Select email authorization request. This will bring you to a screen where you can preview the email before you send it to your customer.
  4. Edit the information as needed to personalize your instructions. Changes made here are not permanent. For permanent changes, you can adjust your template on the authorizations page.
  5. Select send email.

When the customer completes the form, their bank information will be automatically updated in their customer profile and will no longer show action required.

Send to multiple customers at once

  1. Start on your Rotessa account’s customers page.
  2. Select the multiple customers to whom you want to send a request or select all by selecting the check box at the very top of the customer list. (Hint: You can easily find customers that require an authorization by selecting the action required filter at the top of the page)
  3. Select email authorization request. This will bring you to a screen where you can preview the email before you send it to your customer.
  4. Edit the information as needed to personalize your instructions. Changes made here are not permanent. For permanent changes, you can adjust your template on the authorizations page.
  5. Select send email.

When customers complete the form, their bank information will be automatically updated in their customer profiles and they will no longer show action required.

Authorization request link

If you would like the authorization form link to be sent from your own email or have the link embedded on your company website, you can use an authorization request link that can be found in the centre of your Rotessa account's authorizations page.

This link can be customized to be more recognizable to your customers.

Uploading authorizations

If you want to acquire authorization in person:

  1. Select create PDF authorization on your Rotessa account’s authorizations page to create and download an offline authorization form

If you already have completed authorizations, you can upload them to your customers' profiles:

  1. Start on the customers page of your Rotessa account
  2. Select the ellipsis (three dots) beside the name of the customer to whom you wish to upload an authorization
  3. Select edit bank details
  4. Set the authorization type to either in person if the customer signed the authorization in person or online if they signed the authorization electronically.
  5. Under authorization form, drag and drop or click to upload your authorization file.*

*Note: Rotessa's file size limit is 5MB.
